Situated in the Chança River, which forms in the Southern Alentejo the border to Spain, this one acre islet is Portugal's last outpost.

The surrounding landscape is dominated by evergreen oak trees, cistus and lavender bushes. Astonishing in spring with their abundant blossoms, they enchant for the rest of the year with the scent of their aromatic oils.

On the island itself organically cultivated gardens offer fruit and vegetables, delight with their flowers, and make an invitation just to pause in the shade and watch the frogs sitting on the lotus leaves...

Island life is about simplicity, awareness and gratitude. It's about living in harmony with and in Nature. And it's about finding true happiness.

We feel blessed, that we may live here, and we want to share this experience with you!
